Little Canada Road <br />St. Paul, MN 55117 <br />Gentlemen <br />We have estimated the cost of improving to State Aid Standards <br />for that s"ti on of Country Drive between Spruce Street and the <br />railroad tracks and a partial improvement from the railroad <br />tracks to South Owasso Boulevard. <br />Where State Aid Funds are used, the State Standards for Street <br />Construction must be'conformed to. The Standards include a <br />minimum bituminous thickness of 3", concrete curb & gutter, <br />drainage structures and a standard width of 44' between curbs. <br />Under certain rest'ri cti ve right-of-way conditions 36' between <br />— gutters may be -af 1 owed . --- - <br />Sec se -pf steep existing slopes and the +freeway right-of-way <br />fene. e , it appears that we should stick to the existing 36' wi. dth. <br />. <br />We estimate the cost of a complete State Aid street between Spruce <br />Street and the railroad tracks to be as follows: <br />44 foot street width. . . . . . .$103,000.00 <br />36 foot street width. . . . .$ 819000.00 <br />The ab..ove costs include grade correction, existing bituminous. base <br />correction, concrete curb & gutter, a minimum of 3" of bituminous <br />surface and turf established.
