CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY. MINNESOTA
'Illo- ice of:
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484-2177
His Honor the Mayor
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Rd.
Little Canada, Minn.
Dear Sir:
MAYOR
Donald Valento
COUNCILMEN
Robert DeBace
Raymond Hanson
Morns "MuH" Jespersen
Roy P. Nadeau, Jr.
Jan, 12, 197',
Again the time has come to consider the appointment of a Police
Chief for the City of Little Canada.
As you recall, I have mentioned to you that I may retire as Police
Chief in 1977. After giving the matter considerable thought, which
is difficult to realize, that I have served as Police Chief for the
last 22 years. I have served as Constable for 9 years from 1946 to
y 1955 and Health Officer. Those years were cherishable years. Although
most of the police work in Little Canada is performed by the Ramsey County
Sheriff's Office, un-be-known to the Council and the residents there are
many duties that a local police officer must perform.
Now comes time to consider retirement. However, it may not be
proper to retire altogether when there are times that a person can be
resourceful in many small ways. Therefore may I suggest that you not
appoint me as full time Police Chief but as an honorary Police Chief.
May I also take this opportunity to thank you, the Council members,
all the employees for the cooperation they have given me over the last
22 years. A special thanks goes to all the residents of Little Canada
for the gratitude they have shown me for serving them.
Yours sincerely,
Myers Frattalone
Police Chief
880
t Clerk's Exhibit no.________
Meeting Jan-12- 1977
