MINNESOTA 55106 <br />PHONE 774-B731 <br />September 28, 1977 <br />RE: Legal work for the City of Little <br />Canada for 1978. <br />In order to aid you in preparing your 1978 Budget, I would like <br />to submit the following information and proposal in connection with the <br />attorney's fees for the prosecution work and other work that our office <br />will be doing during 1978. <br />Last year we operated on a retainer for the prosecution work <br />llft� but our records indicate that we actually did approximately $200.00 <br />per month more work than the retainer and, therefore, we would like <br />to operate without a retainer in the future, unless the Council would <br />prefer to raise the retainer to approximately $950.00 to $1000.00 per <br />month. (We estimate that the fees will go up higher per month during <br />the coming year.) <br />1111111111111101 <br />Our hourly rate for the other work has been $42.50. In checking <br />with the other city attorneys in the Metropolitan area we find that most <br />of them are set for at least $50.00 per hour.
