This was a very ult decis on o diffice <br />o to make. major rationale that was used in this decision <br />was that tax dollars collected for the operation of the schools <br />should be used primarily for instructional programs. While <br />these programs are funded, for the most part, through the City <br />of White Bear Lake, they serve all youngsters in our schools <br />who qualify for their services, regardless of what municipality <br />or other governmental unit in which they live. <br />Jeannette D. Kahlenberg on behalf of our entire School Board, I have been asked to <br />write this letter to you to encourage your municipality to join <br />Jesse W. Lewis with the White Bear Lake City Council in funding these two <br />worthwhile programs. The City of White Bear Lake has carried <br />the major financial responsibility since their inception. Since <br />students who are being served live in all municipalities within our school district, <br />it may be appropriate for your particular governmental unit to consider assisting <br />the City of White Bear Lake. <br />We would appreciate any consideration you will give to this matter and, hopefully, <br />your governmental unit can cooperate with the other governmental units of White <br />Bear Lake so we can continue to offer to our youth the services of the Youth Resource <br />Bureau and the police liaison program. <br />S' c ely, <br />I tX <br />Dennis W.
