Information update to the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Progress for Pioneer Park continues to move forward. Below are weekly updates since the last <br />Parks & Recreation Commission meeting and some photos. Staff continues to have weekly <br />meetings with the contractor and Engineer on site. Staff has begun meeting to start the planning <br />for a ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony. It is still a little early to know the timeline for <br />some of the final pieces, but staff is tentatively planning for the ceremony to take place the third <br />week in October. Additional information will be shared on an exact date in the next couple of <br />weeks. <br />Weekly Updates: <br />Work completed the week of September 4 – September 8 <br />o Site grading <br />o Clear rock was added along the drain tile in the playground. <br />o Preparing water feature area <br />Work completed the week of September 11 – September 15 <br />o Masonry work <br />o Bench pad areas prepped <br />Work completed the week of September 18 – September 22 <br />o Pouring PIP rubber surfacing <br />o Trenching in conduit <br />o Electrical rough-in completed in the picnic shelter <br />Work completed the week of September 25 – September 29 <br />o Trenching irrigation lines <br />Work scheduled for the week of October 2 – October 6 <br />o Plumbing and electric <br />o Curb removal <br />o Concrete curb, pedestrian ramps, and concrete for the water feature <br />o Landscaping <br />Work scheduled for the week of October 9 – October 13 <br />o Asphalt removal <br />o Trail paving and fence installation <br />o Landscaping
