-Lunch for Seniors with Vadnais Heights: Vadnais Heights and Little Canada’s Parks and <br />Recreation Departments present to you- Lunch for Seniors! Gather with friends and <br />neighbors for lunch and bingo for the low cost of $5 a person. Pre-registration is required <br />before February 9, so stop by City Hall to grab a signup sheet, or call 651-204-6000 <br />(Vadnais Heights) to register. <br />o Thank you to Commissioner Kate Williams for volunteering to assist with this <br />event! <br />-Wednesday Walking Group: Put your best foot forward for our Wednesday Morning <br />Walking Group! Come solo or bring a friend and join us for these weekly self-guided <br />walks. This is a drop-in group that will meet at Kohler <br />Meadows Park in Vadnais Heights and Spooner Park in <br />Little Canada (see dates/locations below). Trails are <br />paved and free parking is available at both locations. Feel <br />free to attend as frequently as you would like! <br />Registration is not required, but is appreciated. <br />o Wednesday May-October at 10 AM <br />First and third Wednesday at Kohler <br />Meadows Park in Vadnais Heights (365 <br />County Road F East, Vadnais Heights, <br />MN 55127) <br />Second and fourth Wednesday at Spooner <br />Park in Little Canada (350 Eli Road, Little <br />Canada, MN 55117) <br />-Adult Trips: Partnering with the surrounding cities' Parks & Recreation Department we <br />are excited to offer our residents the opportunity for adult trips throughout the year. <br />o February 7- Coach Bus Trip: St. Paul’s Grandious Homes, History and Flavor <br />o February 8- Mini Trip: Million Dollar Quartet at the Old Log Theater <br />o March 12- Coach Bus Trip: Irish Descendants in St. Paul <br />o March 14- Mini Trip: Mill City Museum, Malcolm Yards, and Como Zoo <br />o April 26- Minneapolis Institute of Art in Bloom <br />o May 15- Minneapolis Cemetery Tour <br />Events <br />Valentine’s Day Illuminated Snowshoe Hike: Looking for a fun date night idea or family-friendly <br />activity for Valentine’s Day? Join us at Spooner Park on February 14 for an Illuminated <br />Snowshoe Hike! Participants can visit any time from 5-8 PM, pick up their snowshoes from a <br />staff member, and hike around the lit trails. Once you’re finished you can return your snowshoes <br />and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate at the Upper Shelter! <br />If there is less than 6 inches of snow this will be an Illuminated Hike (no snowshoes). <br />Pre-registration is required and spots are limited, so register soon!
