This report is informative only. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Wood Fiber Surfacing <br />Wood Fiber Surfacing was spread last Friday at Nadeau and Thunderbay Playgrounds. This <br />surfacing is engineered and safe for users. <br />Thunderbay/Westwind Trail <br />Thunderbay Trail Connection is coming along nicely. Crews finished paving the trail east of <br />Payne Avenue. The trail connection West of Payne Avenue is almost ready for paving. <br />Water Feature <br />The water feature was very busy for the first week it was open. It is receiving heavy use. On <br />Independence Day, our maintenance crew discovered a leak in the control box. The water feature <br />is expected to be repaired and back open this week. <br />Pickleball Court Conversion and Repair <br />Parks and Recreation staff are meeting with vendors to discuss the court conversion at Spooner <br />Park. The conversion would turn the Two tennis courts into Six pickleball courts. The courts at <br />Pioneer Park would become exclusive tennis courts.
