Informational Only. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Reach for Resources is an inclusion services provider out of Minnetonka, MN with more than 35 <br />years of providing inclusion support for recreational activities. The Parks and Recreation <br />Department has identified a service gap in inclusion services and has chosen to contract with <br />Reach for Resources to provide inclusion services and support for the City's recreational <br />programming. Specifically, Reach for Resources provides on-site inclusion support for program <br />participants, training for Parks and Recreation staff, and consultation with City staff on issues <br />related to inclusion. <br />Feedback from other communities who utilized Reach for Resources is positive, noting that a <br />partnership with Reach for Resources is essential for those with disabilities to participate in <br />municipal recreation programming. <br />Membership for communities with a population under 15,000 is $1831.98. The base inclusion <br />services package provides up to 18 hours of inclusion support at $880.68. One in-person training <br />for staff is $311.44. These fees will be budgeted in the general fund under contractual services. <br />The enclosed contract is for City's use of Reach for Resources through 2025. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />No Action Requested.
