E. Additional Conditions <br />In permitting a new Conditional Use or the alteration of an existing Conditional Use, the <br />City Council may impose, in addition to these standards and requirements expressly specified <br />by this ordinance, additional conditions that the Commission considers necessary to protect <br />the best interest of the surrounding area or community as a whole. These conditions may <br />include but are not limited to: <br />1.Increasing the required lot size or yard dimension. <br />2.Limiting the height, size or location of buildings. <br />3.Controlling the location and number of vehicle access points. <br />4.Increasing the street width. <br />5.Increasing the number of required off street parking spaces. <br />6.Limiting the number, size, location or lighting of signs. <br />7.Requiring additional fencing, screening, landscaping or other facilities to protect <br />adjacent or nearby property. <br />8.Designating sites for open space. <br />Height, Size, Scale of Structure: <br />In terms of scale and appearance, the height of the garage will be similar to the height of the <br />principal structure as well as the appearance of the main home. <br />Building Official Comments: The City’s Building Official has reviewed this proposal. <br />Public Hearing: <br />A CUP requires a Public Hearing and the City Council will need to open the hearing at their <br />October 11, 2023 meeting to take comment from the public. At that time, they will consider the <br />comments from the public and the CUP application after the hearing has been closed. A public <br />notice has been published in the newspaper and the property owners within 350 feet of the site <br />have been notified of the proceedings. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />The Planning Commission is asked to make a recommendation on a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) <br />application to allow a garage expansion with total accessory structures not to exceed 1500 square <br />feet located at 2410 Dianna Lane, PID 082922140022.
