The c ity s hould be completely indifferent to c ulling. Owners need to
be able to do what is right with t heir c hic k ens.
9/7/2023 8:53 PM
2 I don't suspec t this would be a f requent occ urrence. As s tated, the likelihood of people rais ing
meat flocks is highly unlik ely meaning that culling would be minimal and only for the humane
dis patc h of s ick/old chickens.
9/7/2023 8:11 PM
3 At s ome point you need t o k ill the hens t hat are no longer produc ing. I wouldn't like having
roos ters then c ulling male chic k s.
9/3/2023 2:43 PM
4 Egg product ion slows down as a chic k en ages. If a pers on wants c hick ens for eggs , they'll
eventually need to replac e non laying chickens with laying ones s omehow.
8/29/2023 4:50 PM
5 Reus e when c an. You c an’t say y ou want c hickens but not a particular one. Where do the feathers, guts , excess fat, wingtips and feet get dis posed of?
8/28/2023 12:07 PM
8 I st rongly oppos e prohibit ing culling. I t does n’t need to be “allowed” by the c ity, it just needs to
not be prohibited. Culling is somet imes necess ary, for reasons apart from if the c hicken is
wanted (including but not limited to illnes s or injury ) and should be done at the discretion of the
owner.
8/27/2023 4:36 PM
9 Owners s hould be able to do what they need to in order to care for their chicken flock.8/27/2023 3:53 PM
0%10%20%30%40%50%60%70%80%90%1 00%
Suppor t
Oppose
Don't know
ANSWER CHOICES RESPONSES
Support
Oppos e
Don't know
