3 <br />I. Setbacks: In most residential zoning districts, detached garages must maintain a 5-foot setback <br />from both the side and the rear property lines. <br /> <br />J. The total of all aggregate attached/detached garage and other accessory structures cannot <br />exceed 1,500 square feet. Except through a Conditional Use Permit application and approval <br />process. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby amends Chapter 915, General <br />Development Requirements, of the Little Canada Zoning Code by adding the underlined material <br />and deleting the stricken material as follows: <br /> <br />CHAPTER 915 GENERAL DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />915.020 Accessory Buildings in Residential Districts, Generally <br /> <br />E. Size: Attached and detached garages cannot exceed 1,000 square feet or 100 percent of the <br />first-floor area of the principal structure, whichever is more restrictive. <br /> Width: The width of an attached/detached garage or other accessory structures cannot exceed <br />150% of the width of the street facing side of the primary structure. <br /> <br /> <br />915.060 Driveways and Private Internal Access Roads <br /> <br />A. Number, Separation and Width <br />1. The number, location and width of private access drives or roads onto public roads may be <br />controlled and limited by the City Council in the interests of public safety and efficient traffic <br />flow. <br />2. The minimum separation between private driveways along a public street shall be: <br />(a) Local or Collector Street: 2 times the required side yard setback for a driveway <br />(b) Arterial Street: 50 feet <br />(c) U-shaped driveways, any street: 40 feet between the inside edges of the driveway surface <br />3. The minimum distance between the point that any private driveway meets a public street and <br />the nearest intersection of two public street curb lines shall be 40 feet. <br />4. The maximum width for any portion of a driveway at the property line shall be 18 24 feet for a <br />driveway that serves a detached house; a commercial, industrial or institutional driveway may <br />be 28 feet if two lanes and 36 feet if three lanes. The City Engineer may allow adjustments to <br />the driveway intersection corner radius if needed to accommodate large trucks. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 4. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. That all ordinances or parts of <br />ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby appealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. Every section, provision, and part of this Ordinance is <br />declared severable from every other section, provision, and part. If any section, provision, or part of <br />this Ordinance is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not <br />invalidate any other section, provision, or part of this Ordinance.
