MINUTIJS
CITY COUNCIL
.JULY 22, 2009
meeting next week to obtain a vote of their ownership on the work
program.
The Canabury Square Board has requested that the Council call a public
hearing to consider amendment their HIA relative to the work scope.
They have also requested that a hearing on assessment of HIA fees be held
at the same time. The Administrator reported that Canabury Square will
be submitting $10,000 to cover the City's costs in this process.
The Administrator recommended that the public hearing be called for
'T'uesday, August 4, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. The reason for the late start is that
that evening is Night to Unite, and the Administrator noted that the
Council typically visits neighborhood events. The Administrator stated
that the August 4'" date is critical in order to save a week relative to the
45-day veto process. The Board would like to get the work program
started immediately after the 45-day process to get some of the most
critical work done as soon as possible.
Blesener asked if the Board has bids for their work project. The
Administrator replied that bids have been obtained for the roof, windows,
siding and elevator. He was not sure about the smaller work items. The
Administrator noted that the bids are very favorable.
Blesener pointed out that 35% of the ownership (market value ownership)
can veto the project. The Administrator replied that that was correct. He
noted that 41 % of the ownership signed a petition in support of the work
scope and requesting the I-IIA amendment.
McGraw asked the specifics of the HIA financing program. The
Administrator reported that the Board will advise him of the specifics after
their ownership meeting next week That information will be presented at
the August 4'~' public hearing
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2009-7-175 -CALLING PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER THEAMENDMENT OF HIA #1, CANABURYSQUARE
CONDOMINIUMS, RELATIVE TOA REVISED WORK SCOPE, AS
WELL AS A PUBLIC HEARING TO ASSESS HIA #1 FEES, WITH
THESE HEARINGS TO BEHELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2009
AT 8:30 P.M.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0).
