<br /> i~1INUTES <br /> C9 ty Counc~i 1 <br /> (Cont d.) <br /> January 9, 1980 <br /> Appointment Last year the City Attorney, Clayton Parks, indicated to the Council <br /> Of City he would not seek re-appointment as the City Attorney for 1980. <br /> Attorney Parks indicated to the Council that with all the important City <br /> matters presently pending, he would like to continue as City Attorney <br /> 'far the present. Parks informed the Council that when these matters <br /> are resolved, perhaps by June or July, he may decide at that time <br /> to step down from the City Attorney position. <br /> N1r. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0, 80-1-3 - APPOINTING hIR. CLAYTON <br /> PARKS AS CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE YEAR 1980 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br /> Ayes (4) Fahey, Hanson, DeBace, Scalze. <br /> Naves (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 2. <br /> Appointment The City's depository is presently the First State Bank of Saint Paul <br /> Of City located at 2850 Rice Street. Tire City has received correspondence <br /> Depository from the Map1ev:ood State bank requesting appointment as the City's <br /> depository. <br /> Playor Hanson stated that the City has had no problems in its dealings <br /> with the first State Bank of Saint Paul. Flanson a1 so commented that <br /> the City has the option of investing its money wherever it can get <br /> the highest rate of return and is not limited to using only its <br /> depository. <br /> Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-1-4 - APPOINTING THE FIRST STATE <br /> BANK OF SAINT PAUL AS THE CITY DEPOSITORY FOR THE <br /> YEAR 1980 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Per. Fahey. <br /> Ayes (4) DeBace, Fahey, Scalze, Hanson. <br /> Noyes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 2. <br /> Appointment Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> of City <br /> Engineer RESOLUTION N0. 80-1-5 - APPOINTINIG MILNER CFlRLEY <br /> AND ASSOCIATES AS THE C,ITY'S CONSULTING ENGINEER <br /> FOR THE YEAR 1980 <br /> Page -2- <br /> <br />
