MINUTES pF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LIT7LE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />January 14, 1981 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br />14th day of January, 1980 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />The Mayor, Mr. Raymond Hanson, chaired and ca7led the meeting to <br />order at 7:32 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Councilman Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Councilman Mr. Dennis Forsberg <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Mugs Nardini <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br />City Attorney Mr. Clayton Parks <br />Consulting Engineer Mr. Donald Carley <br />City Planner Mr. Brad Nielson <br />Recording Secretary Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br />Approval Mr. Fahey introduced the following reso 1ution and moved its adoption: <br />Of The <br />Minutes RESOLUTION N0. 81-1-28 - APPROVING THE MINUT ES OF THE <br />DECEMBER 10, 1980 REGULAR COUNCIL MFETING <br />T~e foregoing reso1ution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Flyes (5) Fahey, Hanson, Scalze, Nardini, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 14. <br />Richard <br />D <br />t Mr. Richard Demont appeared before the Council requesting a lot variance <br />emon for Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 12 of North Heights Addition. The lot would <br />Lot <br />Variance be a corner lot. The total square footage needed for a corner lot is <br />11 <br />000 <br />f <br />' <br /> <br />Nearing , <br />square <br />eet and Mr. Demont <br />s lot consists of 10,109 square feet. <br />Therefore <br />Mr <br />Demont needs <br />i <br /> , <br />. <br />an area var <br />ance of nearly 900 square feet. <br /> The City Planner has recommended to the Council approval of the variance <br /> provided that Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 12 are combined into one lot <br /> and that any bui1ding placement on the property meets setback requirements. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that it is out of order for the Council to be <br /> hearing this request at this time as all variance requests must first <br /> go through the Planning Commission. <br /> The Planner suggested that the public hearing be held at this time and <br /> Council withhold action on the matter until it has the recommendations <br /> of the Planning Commission. <br />Page -1- <br />
