MINUTES <br />City Co~mcil <br />January 14, 1981 <br />Appo~ntment Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that the Recreation Flssociation has <br />Of Girls' recommended the appointment of Diane Husek as the Girls' Flssistant <br />Assistant Recreation Director. <br />Recreation <br />Director Mayor Hanson stated that he feels the City should advertise the <br />Recreation Department positions and give other people the opportunity <br />of seeking these positions. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that the time to advertise the Recreation Department <br />positions would have been December. In December the Council voted not <br />to advertise these positions. If it is the Council's wish now to <br />advertise, Mrs. Scalze suggested that that issue be taken up again <br />in the late fall. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that it was her feeling that this job should not <br />be advertised, when the other Recreation Department positions were not <br />advertised. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that it was the City who has asked for the Recreation <br />Association's recommendations in these matters. Any change in procedure <br />should be taken up next fall. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-1-47 - FlPPOINTING DIP:ME HUSEK AS THE <br />GIRLS ASSISTANT RECREATION DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Nardini, Forsberg, Hanson. <br />Nayes (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 26. <br />Fldjourn Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-7-48 - AJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, hianson, Nardini> Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 27. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was ad,lourned at 1:10 A.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kat een Glanzer ~~ <br />Recording Secretary <br />Page -18- <br />
