MINUTES City Co~mcil January 14, 1981 Appo~ntment Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that the Recreation Flssociation has Of Girls' recommended the appointment of Diane Husek as the Girls' Flssistant Assistant Recreation Director. Recreation Director Mayor Hanson stated that he feels the City should advertise the Recreation Department positions and give other people the opportunity of seeking these positions. Mrs. Scalze stated that the time to advertise the Recreation Department positions would have been December. In December the Council voted not to advertise these positions. If it is the Council's wish now to advertise, Mrs. Scalze suggested that that issue be taken up again in the late fall. Mrs. Nardini stated that it was her feeling that this job should not be advertised, when the other Recreation Department positions were not advertised. Mrs. Scalze stated that it was the City who has asked for the Recreation Association's recommendations in these matters. Any change in procedure should be taken up next fall. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 81-1-47 - FlPPOINTING DIP:ME HUSEK AS THE GIRLS ASSISTANT RECREATION DIRECTOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Nardini, Forsberg, Hanson. Nayes (O). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 26. Fldjourn Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 81-7-48 - AJOURNING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, hianson, Nardini> Forsberg. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 27.
