MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 27, 7981 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0, 81-5-256 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY A770RNEY <br />TO WRITE A LETTER TQ THE CITY'S INSURANCE COMPANY OUTLINING <br />A HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION WITH SPECIFICS AND REQUEST THEIR <br />OPINION AS TO WHETHER THERE WOULD BE INSURANCE COVERFlGE <br />UNDER THE PUBLIC OFFICIFlLS LIABILITY POLICY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />qyes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Hanson, Nardini, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0 ) . <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 190. <br />Shoreland Mrs. Sca1ze suggested that the DNR be asked to make a presentation to <br />Regu7ations the Council on their shoreland regulations. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-5-257 - INSTRUCTING THAT THE DNR BE <br />REQUESTED TO MFlKE A PRESENTFlTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON <br />SHORELAND REGULATIONS AT THE JUNE 24, 1981 REGULAR COUPICIL <br />MEETING <br />The forego~ng resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (4•) Scalze, Nardini, Hanson, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Mr. Forsberg was not present. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 190. <br />Krueger Mr. Krueger appeared before the Council requesting a variance so that <br />Garage he can construct a garage on his property that would 6e located not <br />Variance less than 19 feet from his property line. Mr. Krueger owns a corner <br />Request lot and City Code requires that the garage be 30 feet from the property <br /> line. Mr. Krueger has a problem with the location of some ceptic tanks <br /> on his property that would prevent him from not complying with the 30 <br /> foot setback requirement. <br /> Mrs. Nardini pointed that the Building Inspector had made an error <br /> and issued Mr. Krueger a building permit for this garage. Nardini felt <br /> the Building Inspector was not aware that this was a corner lot. <br /> P4rs. Scalze stated that Mr. Krueger should submft to the Council a sketch <br /> of where the garage would be located. fahey suggested that the Council <br /> should have a survey of the property. <br /> Mrs. Nardini pointed out that the neighbor's garage is 19 feet from the <br /> property line. Nardini also stated that there was a lot of potential <br /> for the development of this area. <br />Page -7- <br />
