MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA~ NINNESOTA <br />JOLY 22, 1981 <br />Pursuant to due call and noti.ce thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Ninnesota was held on the <br />22nd day of Ju1y, 1981 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />The Acting Mayor, N~. Michael Fahey chaired and called the meet.inq <br />to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor, M~. Raymond Hanson, presided at <br />7:40 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ALSO PRES~NT <br />Mayor <br />Councilman <br />Councilman <br />Councilwoman <br />Councilwoman <br />City Clerk <br />City Attorney <br />Consulting Engineer <br />Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Mr. Dennis Forsberg <br />Mrs. Mugs Nardini <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br />Mr. Clayton Parks <br />Mr. Donald Carley <br />Mrs. Beverly Jespersen <br />Hearings were held pursuant to a Resolution No. 81-5-269 adopted <br />by the Council on May 27, 1981 calling for public hearings. The <br />Cterk presented an affidavit showing the due publication of the <br />notice of public hearing, and a certificate showing mailing of <br />notice to the owners of each parcel of land in the area proposed <br />to be assessed. <br />City Engineer, Mr. Don Carley, proceeded to explain the proposed <br />improvements and the reason the hearings were called for. The <br />total estimated cost would be $850,000 under one bond sale and one <br />contract. He estimated the water assessment to be $20.50 per front <br />foot and $250.00 per unit. Most of the work would be completed <br />this year - County Roads first followed by City Streets and Rice <br />Street. The assessments wi11 be levied approximately one year from <br />today with the first payment due on May 31, 1983. 'i'he assessment <br />can be paid in 30 days without interest, or 15 year payments at 11 <br />percent interest. Bids will be in our hands within five to six <br />weeks and the project could be completed by Thanksgiving. <br />The Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said <br />improvements. Al1 persons present were afforded an opportunity to <br />present their views and objections to the making of said improve- <br />ments. <br />Page 1 <br />
