M]:NUTES <br />City Council <br />January 13, 1982 <br />Mr. Forsberg reported that brush wi11 no longer be accepted at the <br />dumpster. <br />City Planner The City Clerk reported that the Planner wi11 be coming in with a <br />new contract for Council consideration. <br />Mayor Hanson stated that the City paid the Planner $20,000 in 1981 <br />of which $11,000 was passed back to contractors and $9~000 was in <br />administrative fees. <br />Mr. Aanson suggested that the Planner not attend Council meetings, <br />and the City just utilize the Planner on a demand basis, <br />Mra. Nardini asked what the City gets for the $350 it pays the Ylanner <br />each month, The City replied that the Planner works two half days in <br />the City each month and attends Planning Commission meetings £or that <br />fee. <br />Mr. Forsberg e~cpressed concern that the Planner recently distributed <br />his report at the Nlanning Commission meeting and the Planning Commissioxi <br />had no time for preparation. <br />Mrs. Nardini suggested that new procedures be set up so that the Council <br />not act on anything the Planning Commission acted on until the last <br />meeting of the month, This would give the Planner enough tame to <br />get information together. <br />iir. Fahey suggested that the City Clerk contact the Planner and ask <br />him to give the City a proposal on what he will charge the City if <br />he was utilized on a demand basis. Fahey stated that the Planning <br />Commission needs the Ylanner~s assastance and the I3ui~:ding Inspector <br />will probably be handling things that the Planner did in the past. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that if things are handled in the proper sequence <br />the Planner would not have to attend Council meetings. <br />Mr. Hanson suggested that the Clerk have the Planner submit a proposal <br />to the Council. <br />Adjourn Mx~, 1~ahey introduced the £ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-].-36 - ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini, <br />I~yes (5) Fahey, Nardini~ Harason~ Scalze, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0).
