MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 24, 1982 <br />Viking Mr. Newman requested concept approval of the MGM portion of the <br />Partnershi.p development. <br />Proposal <br />(Cont.) rlr. Fahey commented that he felt that t he traffic light in the area <br /> is an extension of the road system and the City does assess for the <br /> costs oE roads. Mr. Newman stated that if Viking Partnership can be <br /> legally assessed for the traffic Light, he wi11 agree to the assessment. <br />The Planner commented that he did not understand the reason for givin~ <br />concept approval in phases on this development. The Planner suggested <br />the Council give concept approval on the whole development. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-2-98 - CLOSING TFIE YUBLIC HEARING ON <br />TIiE VIKING PARTNERSHIP VARIANCE REQUESTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Forsberg, Scalze, Hanson, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 59. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLU`PION N0. 82-2-99 - GRANTING CONCEPT APPROVAL OF THE <br />VIKING PARTNERSEIIP PROPOSAL FOR LOTS 369 49~ 50~ and 51 <br />AND PAFtTS OF LOTS 1, 2, 3, AND 4 OF TFIE J. F, EISENMENGER'S <br />GARDEN LOTS ADDITION AS PRESENTED SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE <br />PRELIMI~ARY PLAT AND SATISFACTORY RESOLUTION OF ANY OTEtER <br />QUESTIONS CONCERNING BUILDING PLANS AND THE PARK LAND <br />DEDICATION FEE <br />The foregoing resoLution was duly seconded by Mr. tlanson. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Hanson, Forsberg, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted, <br />This resolution appeaxs in Resolution IIook No. 8, Page 60. <br />Mrs. Scalze informed Mr, Newman that the Park Commission has recommended <br />10% of the £air market value of the property be collected for park <br />charges in lieu of land. Mr. Newman suggested that perhaps Mr. Margolis <br />could donate materials to the City for a portion of the park charges. <br />birs. Scalze informed Mr. Newman that the City presently has no park land <br />and she doubted that the Pazk Commission would accept materials. <br />D7rs. Scalze commented that an appraisal is currently being done of Che <br />property. The City Clerk thought that the appraisal may be ready by <br />I~'riday. <br />The City Clerk asked about the possibility o£ the second phase of the <br />development not coming about or if a change is made in that phase~ <br />would the developer have to come back to the Council. <br />Page -9- <br />
