Forsberg stated that he was not prepared to tell neighborhood <br />kids they cannot work for the City, and then hire CETA help, <br />Mr. G~anzer anformed the Council that in the past the Yublic h'orks <br />Department has hired four swnmer helpers, The department depends <br />on this summer help, This year the department planned to keep on <br />the part-time persan they ourrently have plus hire two raore for the <br />swnmer. Glanzer stated that he would like to hiret3ob Campanaro and <br />John Fasciann~ both of whom have worked for the City summers in ohe <br />past, <br />ivix~. Hanson commented that one area o£ concern regarding CETA help is <br />that the City has some expensive equipment that shoul.d not be operated <br />by persons without experience. <br />There is correspondence in the Council~s agenda regarding a site for <br />senior citizen housing, This is for Council. information, <br />Mrs. Scalze reported that the Historical Society has requested that the <br />City have the Engineer stake the location of the Benjamin Gervais ~;rist <br />mill on Noel Drive. <br />`Phe Engineer estimated the cost to be less than ~100, <br />~~Iayor EIanson reported that rlrs, Gallagher has requested that she have <br />a key to the City Center for the various meetings that she is involved <br />with there. Mr, Fahey stated th~st he saw no problem with this as Mrs, <br />Gallagher is a City emp].oyee. <br />Mrs. Scal.ze introduced the~'~llowing resolution and moved a.ts adopta.on: <br />RESULUTION N0. 82-l~-203 - INSTRUCTING TH~; CiTY ENGINE~H <br />TO S'PAKE THE YOSSIBLE liOCATIUN OF TIIE BENJAMIN GERVAIS <br />GRIST MILL ON NOEL llRiVE <br />The Yoregoing resolution was du_ly secanded by Mr. Fahey, <br />Ayes (5) ~calze9 Fahey, Hanson~ Nardini,Forsberg, <br />IQayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted, <br />This xesolution appears in Resolution Hook No. 8' Page 149. <br />Page -31a <br />
