Mrs. Nardini a.nformed the Council that there was recently a fire at Montreal CourCS. The;;~~r~k~:alarms were not working because they wer.e turned off because the management Ee1t they made too much noise. Nardini stated that sYae has review~ed the Code and under the Code, a building owner must a.nspecC smoke alarms and report to the Fir.e Marshall monthly that they are opez~ating. Narciini stated that the Ca.ty musC be protected, Mrs. Scalze commented that usually one of the first parties sued i.s the Czty, Pixs. Nardini commented that she £eels Mr, Locke as doin~ an excellenC job and she £eels some of the publicity has not been deserved.
