I3everly Scalze <br />Mr. .Joseph Chlebeclc <br />Mr. Donald Carley <br />Mr. Thomas Sweeney <br />Mrs. Kathle.en Glanzer <br />Mr. Fahey pointed out that on page L1, paragraph 6 of the May 26, <br />1982 Counc:il meeting minutes the word "permitted" shoutd be subsrituted <br />for the word "prohib~.tAd". <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the followi.ng resolution and moved its adopti.on: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-6-305 - <br />APYROVING THE MINUTES OF THP <br />MAY 26, 7.982 REGULAR COUNCIL <br />P1EF;TING WITtI TI~IE OUTLINED <br />AMENDMisNT <br />The for.egoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Nardi.ni, Scalze~ Pahey, Porsberg, Hanson. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resol.ution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Aook No. 8, Pa~;e 256. <br />Coleen IlaLpine a Solid Waste Planner for Ramsey County appeared before <br />the Council to present a slide presentation on the mana~;ement o£ solid <br />coaste. <br />Agenda After the slide presentation, Commissioner Robert Orth appeared <br />Item No. 4 before T.he Counc:il to answer any quest:i.ons that the Council might <br />have. Mr. Orth reported that the management of solid waste I~as <br />become a joi.nt venture between Ramsey and Washington Counties. <br />The Counties have appoinCed an advisory counc:il to make recommendations <br />for the deali.ng wi.th this problem. One of' the proposals bei.ng <br />consi.dere<i is the building of a fu11 scale solid waste processing <br />f.acility f.or processing refuse to steam. Lalce Glmo has volunteered <br />to be the site of such a facili.ty and 3M has indicated Chat they are <br />interested in buying steam. <br />Page -1- <br />
