Glanzer replied that thi.s i.s a guesstimate. <br />GLan~er also stated that the City does bill for water lost in a <br />water. breal<. Gl.anzer stated that the bi.g reason f:or T.he i.ncreased <br />water loss i.n the thir.d quarter ~is because of the eoatermain construct:~.ion <br />~;oin~; on and the fi.lli.np, and flushi.n~ of. these mains. Mr. Glanzer <br />stated that a portion of this is char~;ed ap,ainst the watermai.n project. <br />Mr. Pahey stated that he was not i.n favor of changin,n, the senior <br />citi.z.en credit. T'ahey commented ChaT. he does not find thi.s credit <br />oflensive. Fahey stated that seniors probably have more diSf.i.culty <br />deali.ng with the economi.c ti.mes than any other ~to~ip. <br />Nirc. Scalze stated tliat. this wzis probably true 20 years ago. Scalze <br />pointed out the i.ncrease of. t~oo family incomes and stated that most <br />homes have no one home during the day. Scala.e Fel.t that the average <br />home was using the sewer. as much as a seni_or citi.ren. <br />Mr.s. Nardini. also pointed out the smaller f:ami.l.i.es. Nardini. poi.nted <br />out that the cost o£ the seni.or citizen credi.t i.s estimated at <br />'~15,848. <br />Mr. Porsberg state<1 that he was not in f.avor of changin~; the senior <br />ci.tizen credi.t. <br />Mrs. NarcLini stated t:hat she was not pushi.ng that this be changed, <br />but just felt it was something that the Council. shouId discuss. <br />Pa~e -17- <br />
