Annual listimate Net Payment Due figure shown on page 5 of <br />the Uudget. Gl.anzer poi.nted out that the City has a debit payment <br />crecti.t of ~79,713 whi.ch i.t recei.ves from Metro Sewer. Glanzer also <br />explained that most cities base their rates on Total Treatment Charge. <br />Glanzer explai.ned that in a feca years the City will not receive thi.s <br />credi.t from Metro Sewer. The City has been passing this sav:ings on <br />to its customerse This year Glanzer based hi.s Uudget on the ~201,000 <br />figure and next year will base it on the Total Charge. <br />The City Cler:< stated that the City can apply the credit to Debt <br />Service and thus lower its mi11 rate. <br />~Ir. Gl.anzer also explained that lalce overf.lo~o charges to the City <br />i.ncreased 37% plus the sewer treatment charge al.so increased. <br />Fahey pointed out that cahi.l.e the Se~ver rates would increase 16%, <br />sewage tr.eatment costs to the City increased 31% and the lake overflow <br />charges increased 37%. <br />Page -15- <br />
