MINUTGS <br />City Council <br />July 10, 1985 <br />Prattalone to give them a period of Cime to relocate. Fahey did not think that <br />Property the Ci.ty could allow them to remain, Fahey stated that these businesses <br />(Conta) should be in an industrial area and noted that the businesses are not <br />licensed. <br />Mr. Frattalone reported that the overhead gas Canks have been taken <br />down and will be removed from the property shortly. <br />Mr. Blesener. noted that there is an orange van and an old cat that <br />should be removed from the pro~ertye <br />Mr, Prattalone apologiaed to the Counci.l for his previous statement <br />that the condition of the property was not too bad. rrattalone reported <br />that after the last meeting he looked at the property and iC was a mess. <br />It has been cLeaned up and he coill g,et the van and cat off the pre.mises <br />as cvell. <br />Mr. Prattalone requested that the City gi.ve him some time to remove <br />the businesses from the property. PrattaLone requested that he be <br />given until the Spring of 1986 in order that the busi.nesses can Lincl <br />another location. <br />Mr. Prattalone reported that it will be hard f:or. him to rent t}~e buildinp,s <br />because they were buiLt as inctustrial shops. <br />Mrs. Scalze poi.nted out that the property is zoned 13-3. Scalze suggested <br />that Fr.attalone meet wi.th the Planner to go over the uses for I3-3 <br />property. Mr.s. Scalze noted that the City gave Oscar Lane a period of <br />time Co relocate and should be fai.r to Mr. Prattalone as well. <br />Prattalone stated that he is willing to 1i.mit travel o^ Park Street to <br />between BA.M. and 5 P.M. Frattalone poi.nted out that the street was <br />put in as a commercial street and he paid a higher portion of the <br />assessments due to thi.s. Frattalone also poirited out that the resi.dents <br />in the area bought [heir. property knowing there was commercial across <br />the street and probably bought the property cheaper because of this. <br />Prattalone stated thal the b~ilding was bu~ilt under a permit for <br />industrial use. Scalze replied that this was because the other si.te <br />Mr. Frattalone was going to be locaCed in was not ready. <br />Mr. Frattalone requested that he be given to May 1, 1986 to relocate <br />Che businesses. <br />Blesener stated that he had no problem ~oith May 1, but if the busi,nesses <br />move out bef.ore that time, they should not Ue replaced. <br />Mr. Frattalone reported that he has one business that does heavy <br />equipment repair. A11 repairs are done inside. Frattalone asked <br />if. the Council would consi<ter letting this business remain. <br />Mr. Fahey replied that the City is getting complaints aUout people <br />running little businesses out of their homes.
