MIN~TES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />September 4, 1985 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br />4th day of September, 1985 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to order <br />at ~:05 P.M. and the following members were present at roll ca11: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mayor <br />Councilman <br />Councilman <br />Councilwoman <br />Councilwoman <br />City C1erk <br />Building Inspector <br />Fire Chief <br />Public Works Supt. <br />City Auditor <br />Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Mr. William Blesener <br />Mr. Rick Collova <br />Ms. Mugs Nardini <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br />Mr. Bud Nagovsky <br />Mr. Dick Boss <br />Mr. Roger Glanzer <br />Mr. Robert Voto <br />Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br />1986 Budget Mayor Fahey opened the workshop meeting on the 1986 Budget. <br />Fire Dept. Fire Chief Dick Boss presented his budget to the Council. Boss <br />Budget reported that most of the items in the budget are the same as the <br />1985 budget with an exception of a few items that the Fire Department <br />had no choice but to increase. <br />Boss pointed out that there is a$2,000 increase for insurance as <br />this was under budget for 1g85. Boss also reported that OSHA is <br />requiring lung tests for the firemen and he has budgeted $700 for <br />this. <br />Mr. Blesener questioned the budgeted amount for gas allowance for <br />private vehicles. Mr. Boss replied that there is a$25 per month <br />gas allowance for the chief officers of the department. Mileage <br />is also paid for attending schools. Mileage is reimbursed at a <br />rate of 20¢ per mile. <br />Mr. Fahey pointed out that the Fire Department is requesting a <br />less than 5% increase over 1985. Fahey complimented the Fire <br />Department for keeping the budget within minimal bounds. <br />Mr. Boss also reported that in one more year the loan payment <br />will be alleviated. <br />The City Clerk pointed out that sprinklering costs are covered <br />within the City's portion of the budget. <br />Page -1- <br />
