MZNUTES City Council May 20, 1986 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Fahey, Nardini, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No, 13, Page 195. Mr, Sweeney explained the statute concerning the granting of a site waiver. Mayor Fahey discussed with the representatives of the charitable organizations the number of people to be allowed in the bingo hall. The front of the building will be used for handicap classes. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RF~OLUTTON NO 86-5-~98 - ADDING A CONDITION TO THE APPROVAL OF THE PUD & CUP THAT THE OCCUPANCY OF THAT PORTION OF THE PRINCIPAL BUILDSNG USED FOR BINGO BE LIMITED TO 450. Kathleen Thominq, President of the Front Ave. Sr. Booster Clubs, appeared before the Council concerning the operations of the Booster Club and their contribution to children. She stated that they are very concerned about clearing their name. She presented to the Council a memorandum to Joseph Carchedi from Janice Rettman, Councilperson, City of St. Paul regarding a meeting with Gary Hegner. Mrs. Scalze presented to the Council five proposed amendments to the Charitable Gambling Ordinance. The Council discussed these five amendments. Mr. Sweeney stated that they should be adopted as City Policy rather than amendments to the ordinance, Mr. Blesener would like to take more time to make sure of what we are doing and to screen the organizations that are coming in.
