MZNUTES <br />City Council <br />May 20, 1986 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Fahey, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No, 13, Page 195. <br />Mr, Sweeney explained the statute concerning the granting of a site <br />waiver. <br />Mayor Fahey discussed with the representatives of the charitable <br />organizations the number of people to be allowed in the bingo hall. <br />The front of the building will be used for handicap classes. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RF~OLUTTON NO 86-5-~98 - ADDING A CONDITION TO THE APPROVAL <br />OF THE PUD & CUP THAT THE OCCUPANCY OF THAT PORTION OF THE <br />PRINCIPAL BUILDSNG USED FOR BINGO BE LIMITED TO 450. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Fahey, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Page 196. <br />Kathleen Thominq, President of the Front Ave. Sr. Booster Clubs, <br />appeared before the Council concerning the operations of the <br />Booster Club and their contribution to children. She stated that <br />they are very concerned about clearing their name. She presented <br />to the Council a memorandum to Joseph Carchedi from Janice Rettman, <br />Councilperson, City of St. Paul regarding a meeting with Gary <br />Hegner. <br />Mrs. Scalze presented to the Council five proposed amendments to <br />the Charitable Gambling Ordinance. <br />The Council discussed these five amendments. Mr. Sweeney stated <br />that they should be adopted as City Policy rather than amendments <br />to the ordinance, <br />Mr. Blesener would like to take more time to make sure of what we <br />are doing and to screen the organizations that are coming in. <br />Mr, Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />3 <br />
