MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 13, 1987 <br />St. John's The Attorney reported that the City had anticipated that there would <br />Easement be no reimbursement for this easement. However, the Attorney recommended <br />(Cont.) that the City obtain an appraisal of the property in question. <br />The Engineer reported that the easement would be a permanent one and <br />would involve 12,000 square feet. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-5-199 - AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY ATTORNEY TO OBTAIN AN APPRAISAL OF THE <br />PROPERTY THE CITY IS SEEKING FROM ST. JOHN'S <br />CHURCH FOR IMPROVEMENT N0. 86-4 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 217. <br />The Engineer reported that the City will be putting in a permanent <br />street ~vith concrete curb and gutter as well as installing guard <br />rail at the end of the cul-de-sac. <br />Scalze requested that the Engineer inform the Church of this. <br />Thunder Bay Mr. Frattalone appeared before the Council and offered the City <br />II Addition $35,500 for the Wright property with the developers removing the <br />(Cont.) house and garage and being able to proceed immediately on the <br />Thunder Bay II Addition. <br />It was the concensus of the Council that this offer was acceptable. <br />Fahey asked if the developers were willing to allow the Fire Department <br />to remove the house as part of a drill. <br />Frattalone replied that they were. <br />Blesener pointed out that with the addition of some of the Jespersen <br />property, the developers were gaining two lots with minimal added <br />expense. <br />Scalze pointed out that the City would not grant any variances for <br />the two lots that would be gained with the addition of the ~~right <br />property. <br />alesener pointed out that a small variance will still be required <br />on the Valento property. <br />Page -8- <br />
