Blesener• introduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 87-10-505 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 14, 1987 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS AMENDED The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declar•ed adopted. This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 533. Char•itable Lois Blomber•g, r~epr~esenting St. Joseph's Society, appear•ed befor•e Gambling the Council and repor~ted that this past month St. Joseph's has Donations donated $1 ,000 to the Nor•th Sur~bur•an Chamber• of Commer~ce, $1 ,000 to the Lake Owasso Childr~en's Home, $500 to the Little Canada Fir~e Agei;da Depar•tment, $1,000 to the Rice Str•eet Businessmen, and $7,798.92 Item No. 4 to the Little Canada Recr•eation Association. Dlomber•g then pr•esented the City with a check in the amount of $20,000 for~ the City's Par•k Fund fr•om St. Joseph's Society's oper•ation at Little Canada Bingo Hall. Cel este Houl e, r~epr•esenti ng Ser•vants of Mar•y, pr•esented the Ci ty with a check in the amount of $20,000 for• the City's Par•k Fund fr~om the Little Canada Bingo Hall. Houle also pr•esented the City with a check in the amount of $5,000 for• the City's Par•k Fund fr•om the pull-tab oper•ation at Br•ady's on Rice Str•eet. The Mayor• thanked both St. Joseph's Society and Ser~vants of Mar•y fov their• effor~ts on behalf of the City. Rockne Mayor• opened the public hear•ing on the Rockne Waite r•equest for~ the Waite division of his pr•oper•ty, Lots 12 thr•ough 20, Nor~th Heights Addition, Pr~oper•ty i nto thr•ee 1 ots. Division & Var~iance Fahey noted that at the time the City or~der•ed Sylvan Str•eet to be Matter• impr•oved, i t was wi th the under•standi ng that the pr•oper•ty owner•s who gr•ant the City the necessar~y easement for the Sylvan Str•eet Agenda cul-de-sac would r•eceive var•iances for• lot ar•ea if the taking of Item No. 5 this easement caused their• lots to be under• the City's 10,000 squar•e foot r•equir~ement. Fahey noted that both the Planning Commission and the Planner• have r•ecommended approval of the Waite pr•operty division. Page -2-
