The Ci ty Cl er•k r•epor•ted that the appl i cati on appear•s to be i n order•. <br />Pull-Tab The Cler~k also stated that he has a satisfactory police r•epor•t on file <br />Application fr•om the Fir•e Depar•tment's pr~evious gamb1ing license application. <br />(Cont.) <br />Blesener• pointed out that the City r•eceived a pr•evious application <br />fr•om another~ char~ity to sell pull-tabs at Hoggsbr•eath which showed <br />the lay-out of wher•e the booth would be. Also, the application showed <br />that ther~e would be no r•ent char•ged for~ the pull-tab booth. <br />Boss r•epor~ted that he is in the process of negotiating the r~ent for~ the <br />booth and anticipates it will be between $250 and $500 per~ month. Boss <br />indicated that he felt the pr•evious applicant was in err•or~ when stating <br />that ther~e would be no r~ent char•ged for• the pull-tab booth. <br />Mr•. Blesener~ intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-11-5~}6 - APPROVING THE <br />APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY THE LITTLE CANADA <br />FIRE DEPARTME~IT FOR A CLASS B GAMBLING <br />LICENSE TO OPERATE A PULL-TAB BOOTH AT <br />HOGGSBREATH <br />The for~egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener•, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Abstains (1) Fahey. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 597. <br />LaValle r•epor~ted that there is discussion at the State Gambling Contr•ol <br />Boar•d to change r~equir•ements on pull-tabs. They ar~e consider~ing <br />making the r•equir•ement that only people involved in the char~ity can <br />sell pull tabs. <br />Boss r•epor•ted that ther•e is a meeting scheduled for• Monday, November• 30, <br />to discuss futur~er•ule changes, and indicated that he would be attending <br />this meeting. <br />Boss also r~equested that the City waive its 30-day r•eview period so <br />that the State will issue the license immediately. <br />Mr~s.
