MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Dec. 30, 1987 <br />City The Council reviewed various newsletters put out by other cities <br />Newsletter• and discussed the City's putting out a similar• newsletter•. <br />Agenda It was the concensus of the Council to see the r~esponse r•eceived <br />Addition on the issue of a City newsletter• fr~om the upcoming sur•vey that <br />will be conducted within the City. <br />Dispute Council discussed the r~equest for• contr•ibutions r•eceived fr~om the <br />Resolution Dispute Resolution Center~. <br />Center <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Jan. 6 <br />Wor•kshop <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Nor~th <br />Subur•ban <br />Youth <br />Assoc. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Scalze pointed out that the Center• is asking for• a$250 donation fr•om <br />ever•y city within Ramsey County. Scalze r•epor•ted that Mounds View <br />uses this Center extensively. <br />Fahey felt the people using the Center• should pay for• its ser•vices, <br />r~ather• than the Center~ being funded by City contr•ibutions. <br />Scalze suggested that matter•s such as neighbor•hood disputes should <br />be r~efer~r~ed to the Center. <br />Bl esener~ agr•eed that ther~e ar~e matter~s that shoul d be refer•r~ed to the <br />Center~. Blesener• suggested that if the Center• can show that the City <br />uses its ser~vices, then the City may be willing to make a donation. <br />Scal ze agr~eed and fel t the Ci ty Cl er~k shoul d be author•i zed to r•efer• <br />cer~tain matter•s to the Center. <br />Fahey suggested that the letter~ be kept on file antl that the City Cler•k <br />send a letter• to the Center~ stating that the Council does not feel a <br />donation is appr~opr•iate at this time, but will keep the request on <br />file and open to fur~ther~ consider~ation. <br />Fahey r~eminded the Council of the upcoming Januar•y 6th wor•kshop meeting <br />to r~eview the sur~vey for•m developed by the Par•k Commission and Decision <br />Resour•ces. Fahey invited input fr•om the public as to topics which <br />could be included in the sur~vey. <br />Fahey r~epor~ted that the Nor•th Subur•ban Youth Association has made a <br />contr•i buti on of $3,306.23 to the Ci ty fr•om pr~oceeds fr•om i ts oper•ati on <br />at the Little Canada Bingo Hall.
