The Council stated that the Ramsey <br />County Garage was too far away to be considerecl a saie <br />shelter, <br />l~Ir. Carley felt that <br />the peat was c~eeper than 10 feet, and a.f a shelter were to <br />be built in an unc~esirable area, the shelter could sink out <br />of sight, <br />P4r. Fahey indicated that the City would not be responsible <br />if the shelter did sink. <br />NIr. Fahey indicated that tkie Council would like to obtain a <br />cost figure and then survey the residents on the cost, <br />D2r, Fahey felt that tYie resiclents do not understand the <br />impact of the cost, <br />P~Ir, Fiusnik sta~ed that if the shelter costs S~5,U00, v~ith <br />the use of a two-year note, the residents would be ~aying <br />approximately 510-11 more per month in ren~a Us9.ng a <br />five-year note, the residents would be paying approximatcly <br />~5-6 more per month in rent. <br />P4s. 7~ois Mandel, a resident of the Park, stated that shc <br />felt most residents of ihe Park would be ~villing to pay the <br />extra money each month because they would be actually <br />getting some~hing for their money, <br />Pag~ -C- <br />
