MINUTES Cit,y Council April 26, 1989 Palmen Mr. Ron Palmen appeared before the Council requesting an extension to the Landfill landfill permit previously aranted to him by the Council. Per•mi t Palmen r•eported that he would like to request a per•mit to add another• Aqenda 10,000 cubic yar~ds to his property. Palmen repor•ted that he has received Item No. 17a Water•shed appr~oval. Fahey pointed out the concerns addr•essed to Mr•. Palmen about his proper•ty by the Building Inspector, specifically equipment cominq and goinq from the pr•operty. Palmen reported that he has pur•chased a lot and will be moving his equipment. However•, Palmen pointed out that ther•e will be equipment used as part of the filling process, but this equipment will stay at the site. Collova asked the City Engineer's opinion reqarding this request. The City Engineer~ reported that he had pr~eviously r~eviewed the request and had no problems with it. Eilesener asked the lenqth of time before fillin~ is completed. Palmen was not sure, but pointed out that there are a lot of trees and shr•ubs on the proper•ty and he would like to save as many as possible. Ther•efor•e, Palmen stated that it may take a couple of year•s to complete the pr~oJect, but would like the time to do the pr•oject r~ight. Scalze pointed out that the tdater•shed has a time limit on such projects which she believed to be six months. Scalze pointed out that at the end of that time Palmen would have to r•eapply for• an extension. The City Engineer• agr~eed that the Water•shed has a time limit on fill per~mi ts. Mr. Collova intrroduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 89-4-164 - APPROVINf, THE RON PALMEN REQUEST FOR FILL PERMIT AS PRESENTED AND AS OUTLINED ON PAGE 43 OF THE COUNCIL'S AGFNDA The foreqoing r•esolution was duly seconded by P4r~.
