MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Apr•il 25, 1989 <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDI~IANCE N0. 313 - AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION <br />2001.130 TO THF MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA REGULATING A COOKING FIRE AS AMENDED <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Collova, Scalze, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nayes (~l. <br />Or•di nance decl ar•ec' adopted. <br />Closed The City Attor•ney requested that the C,ouncil qo into closed session <br />Session following the meetirip to discuss the action of Masman versus the City <br />of Little Canada. <br />Aqenda <br />Addition Mr. Collova introduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-4-171 - APPROVING A <br />CLOSED SESSION FOLLOWI~IG THE MEETING TO <br />DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION AS REOUESTED <br />BY THE CITY ATTORNFY <br />The foreqoinq resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) CoTlova, Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolutiori declared adopted. <br />Gardner Scalze reported that Larry Lee has expressed concern that the Gardner <br />Rros. Sian ~iros.sian is located next to the ~lorth Star Turf buildinq and not the <br /> Gardner Rros. buildinq. <br />Agenda <br />Addition Blesener stated that he still ~isaerer~d with the contention that the <br /> ordinance would allow the Gardner Rros. siqn, sirice Blesener felt that <br /> the siqn was a billboard. elesener outlined the history of how the <br /> siqn came to be, notinq that when it was fir~st put up Gardner•[3r•os. <br /> was informed that the sign could not qo up until their buildinq did. <br /> Gardner Dros. then put the back buildings up and then erected the siqn. <br /> Scalze pointed out that the siqn is about 1,000 feet from the Gardner <br /> Br•os office, and felt the sican should be located next to their• office. <br /> Council discussed whether or not the siqn was a permitted sign and felt <br /> the Buildinq Inspector and City Planner should investiqate this issue <br /> thorouqhlv. <br /> P1r.
