MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Apr~il ?_6,1989 <br />Emergency Fahey reported that the current Emerqency Services Director, Dick Boss, Sr., <br />Services would like to be relieved of his duties as the Director at the conclusion of <br />Dir~ector this season. <br />Agenda Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Addition <br />RESOLUTION N0. II9-4-154 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO ADVFRTISE THF POSITIOPJ OF EMERGENCY <br />SERVICFS DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing r~esolution was duly seconded by P1rs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) f~lesener, Scalze, Fahey, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />Ger•vais Collova r•eported that tomor•row evening, April 7_7th, ther•e will be a meetinq <br />Lake at the City Center at 7:30 P.P1. to discuss the possibilit,y of a path around <br />Path Gervais ~ake. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Pioneer Fahey reported that Sunday, April 30th, at 3 P.M., there will be a ceremony <br />Park dedicatinp the City's new Pioneer Park located on Centerville Road. <br />A.qenda <br />Addition <br />Gordie Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider concept approval of the preliminary <br />Swanson plat known as the Carl G. Swanson Addition located on Little Canada Road. <br />Plat <br />Fahey reported that two alter•native development plans have been submitted <br />Agenda by Mr•. Swanson, one containing 11 lots and the other containing 9 lots. <br />Item No. 5 <br />The City Planner• reviewed his repor~t dated Apr•il 11, 1989 on this proposal <br />and pointed out that his r~ecommendation is that the concept of the 11 lots <br />be approved with reservation of a street stub so that a future road <br />connection can be made to the pr~oper•ty to the east if and when that <br />property develops. The Planner reported that the Planninp Commission <br />supported this recommenc~ation, and also r•ecommended that special attention <br />be given to dr•ainage. <br />Fahey asked if the road stub would eliminate one of the lots, thus reducing <br />the proposal to 10 lots. <br />The Planner~ thoupht that ther•e would be enough r~oom to r•educe lot size and <br />still qet 11 lots in addition to the r•oad stub. <br />Scalze asked if the stub as shown in the Planner•'s proposal was in its exact <br />Page -3- <br />
