I{athy Tipler who chairs the Advisory Committee on <br />Solid Waste in Little Canada appearecl before ttae Council <br />regarding organized collection and recycling. She asked <br />direction from the Council regarding the problem oL Poor <br />Richards. They cannot proceed wath dividing up the City <br />until this is solved, <br />b7rs. Scalze ytated that Poor kZichard's licenses have been <br />revoked in Ramsey and Washington Counties because they ~aere <br />not taking their solid waste to Newport. <br />~dr, Sweeney stated that they cannot haul in Ramsey County, <br />Flowever, the City should wait and sort out i~he facts before <br />revok9.ng their license. They are planning to appeal and he <br />will continue to do some research, <br />I~1rs, Tipler stated that we have ~o corne up with some <br />permanent financing before the gran~ money runs out. <br />The Council considered holding back the Netasletter until <br />this matter is settled. <br />t~9r.
