48 | Page
City of Little Canada Housing Study - 2025
Next Steps
This study provides a foundation for understanding Little Canada’s housing market, land use,
and demographic trends. The findings will be used to inform city planning efforts, including the
2050 Comprehensive Plan update, zoning code evaluations, and future housing discussions.
The next step is to integrate these findings into upcoming planning and policy discussions. The
Planning Commission and City Council will review the study and consider how it aligns with
housing, land use, and development priorities. While this study does not prescribe specific policy
recommendations, its insights will help shape future planning efforts.
Key areas for further discussion include:
1. Comprehensive Plan Update: Findings from this study will guide updates to the city's
long-term housing and land use goals.

2. Zoning Code Review: The study identifies housing and land use patterns that may
warrant adjustments to zoning regulations.

3. Housing and Affordability Trends: Ongoing monitoring of housing indicators will ensure
that future decisions remain data-driven and responsive to community needs.
This study is the first step in an ongoing process. The insights presented here will serve as a
reference point for future discussions as the city works to ensure that housing in Little Canada
remains accessible, sustainable, and aligned with community needs.
