MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 22, 1989 <br />The City Planner reported that he and the Building <br />Inspector drafted and sent a letter to Gardner Bros. <br />informing them that their sign is in violation of Code <br />and should be removed. However, there has been no <br />response from Gardner Bros. <br />The Council suggested that another letter be sent <br />giving Gardner Bros. three days to reply or the matter <br />will be turned over to the City Attorney. <br />NORTH STAR Council reviewed the Notice of Cancellation that the <br />TURF City received for the North Star Turf performance bond. <br />PERFORMANCE <br />BOND The Council discussed this issue and instructed the <br />City Planner to look at the development agreement to <br />determine if North Star Turf is in compliance. In the <br />meantime, the City Attorney should inform the bond <br />company that the City will not accept the cancellation <br />notice until it has had time to investigate the <br />situation. Council asked for a report in two weeks. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-11-577 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO INFORM THE BOND COMPANY THAT THE CITY DOES <br />NOT ACCEPT THE CANCELLATION OF THE NORTH STAR TURF <br />PERFORMANCE BOND AT THIS TIME UNTIL THE CITY HAS fiAD AN <br />OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW COMPLIANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE <br />BOND <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Fahey, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />COMMISSION Council discussed whether Planning and Park Commission <br />VACANCIES vacancies for terms beginning in 1990 should be <br />advertised, or whether incumbents should be reappointed <br />if they so desire. It was the concensus of the Council <br />to advertise these vacancies. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />Page 27 <br />
