MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />May 2, 1990 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of <br />the Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held <br />on the 2nd day of May, 1990 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to <br />order at 7:00 p.m. and the following members of the Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Building Official Mr. John Palacio <br />CONSTRUCTION This special meeting was called to hear two presentations <br />MANAGEMENT from construction management firms relative to the building <br />of the City Hall addition and the Fire Station. <br />Kraus-Anderson and Adolfson & Peterson, Inc. were the firms <br />being considered. <br />Kraus-Anderson was interviewed at 7:05 p.m. Representing <br />Kraus-Anderson were Mr. Jack Schletty, Mr. Jim Beckwith, and <br />Mr. Richard Johnson. Mr. Beckwith was designated as the <br />project manager and Mr. Johnson was designated as the <br />on-site superintendent. <br />Some of the key points of Kraus-Anderson's presentation were <br />as follows: <br />* They are prepared to put together an early budget <br />based on the drawings prepared by Boarman & <br />Associates to-date. <br />* No work on either project will be done with their <br />forces. They will be acting strictly as the City's <br />agent. <br />* Separate bids may be pursued on the Fire Station and <br />City Hall projects depending on financial <br />considerations yielding the greatest advantage to <br />the City. <br />Page 1 <br />
