MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />May 30, 1990 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 30th day of May, 1990 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 7:00 P.M, and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Deputy Clerk Mrs. Annette Freeman <br />City Auditor Mr. Bob Voto <br />Rec. Secretary Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of tonight's meeting is to review the <br />City's 1989 audit reports. These reports include the <br />Annual Financial Report, Management Report, and Capital <br />Project Funds. <br />The Auditor reported that the Annual Financial Report <br />of the City is complete and has been transmitted to the <br />Council. The Auditor then began an indepth review of <br />the Management Report and Recommendations pointing out <br />the following facts he feels are of particular interest <br />to the Council: <br />1. The State has made significant changes to the <br />property tax system and State aid funding systems. <br />2. The City's local government aid (from the State) <br />decreased from $366,600 in 1989 to $165,400 in <br />1990 representing a $201,200 decrease. <br />3. The City's collection rate for property taxes <br />remains solid. <br />Page 1 <br />
