MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
May 30, 1990
The Auditor then proceeded to review in detail the
Capital Project Funds report.
Under the State Aid Roads section of the report, the
Auditor informed the Council that he would be
submitting a special report on this subject at a later
date.
In continuing his review of Capital Project Funds, the
Auditor pointed out that there is a surplus of
approximately $14,000 in funds that were donated to the
City for the Little Canada School improvements.
Scalze indicated that she would inform the charities of
this surplus requesting authorization to place the
money in the City's Park Fund.
The Auditor reviewed Tax Increment #1 - Thunder Bay,
and it was pointed out that at its next meeting, the
Council would be presented with a plan amendment to
enlarge the district so that excess funds could be used
towards the cost of reconstruction of Payne Avenue.
The Council discussed the fund deficits for Assessable
Interim Construction Fund as outlined on page 21 of the
Capital Project Funds report. Concern was expressed
with the amount of engineering, legal and fiscal fees
for small projects with the Council commenting that
they need to keep these costs in mind when ordering
small projects in the future.
It was noted that the Council will formally adopt the
Annual Financial Report and the Auditor's
recommendations at its June 13th meeting.
There being no further business, the workshop was
adjourned at 8:40 P.M.
~ ~~_. !~~'`~~~
i~el I.
