MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 25, 1990 RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-339 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE JULY 19, 1990 COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING AS CORRECTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. BRUSH Fahey reported that brush clean-up in the City is CLEAN-UP making slow, but steady progress. The contractor will continue to pick up brush until it is gone. Fahey indicated that the City will not be responsible for any damaqe to lawns caused by the brush piles. The City Administrator indicated that the contractor is working every day. The clean-up is taking lonqer than originally anticipated because there is much more material than was initially estimated. FIRE STATION/ Fahey indicated that on July 19th the Council held a CITY CENTER workshop meeting at which the new Fire Station and City PLANS Center expansion plans were reviewed. At that workshop the Council discussed whether or not the Council Chambers and adjacent conference space should be separated with a solid wall or folding doors. The Council also discussed the type of protective coating that would be used on the floor of the apparatus bay in the Fire Station. These issues were not resolved, and it was the consensus of the Council to bid these items as alternates with final decisions made at the time costs are known. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-340 - AUTHORIZING BOARMAN & ASSOCIATES AND KRAUS-ANDERSON TO RELEASE FOR BIDS THE CITY CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT WITH BIDS TO INCLUDE AN ALTERNATE FOR FOLDING DOORS IN THE CONFERENCE AREA THAT WOULD HAVE A SOUND RATING EQUIVALENT TO A SOLID WALL, AND AUTHORIZING THE NEW FIRE STATION PROJECT TO BE RELEASED FOR BID INCLUDING AN ALTERNATE FOR PROTECTIVE FLOOR COVERING IN THE APPARATUS BAY Page 2
