MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 25, 1990 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-339 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br />JULY 19, 1990 COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING AS CORRECTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />BRUSH Fahey reported that brush clean-up in the City is <br />CLEAN-UP making slow, but steady progress. The contractor will <br />continue to pick up brush until it is gone. Fahey <br />indicated that the City will not be responsible for any <br />damaqe to lawns caused by the brush piles. <br />The City Administrator indicated that the contractor is <br />working every day. The clean-up is taking lonqer than <br />originally anticipated because there is much more <br />material than was initially estimated. <br />FIRE STATION/ Fahey indicated that on July 19th the Council held a <br />CITY CENTER workshop meeting at which the new Fire Station and City <br />PLANS Center expansion plans were reviewed. At that workshop <br />the Council discussed whether or not the Council <br />Chambers and adjacent conference space should be <br />separated with a solid wall or folding doors. The <br />Council also discussed the type of protective coating <br />that would be used on the floor of the apparatus bay in <br />the Fire Station. These issues were not resolved, and <br />it was the consensus of the Council to bid these items <br />as alternates with final decisions made at the time <br />costs are known. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-340 - AUTHORIZING BOARMAN & <br />ASSOCIATES AND KRAUS-ANDERSON TO RELEASE FOR BIDS THE <br />CITY CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT WITH BIDS TO INCLUDE AN <br />ALTERNATE FOR FOLDING DOORS IN THE CONFERENCE AREA THAT <br />WOULD HAVE A SOUND RATING EQUIVALENT TO A SOLID WALL, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE NEW FIRE STATION PROJECT TO BE <br />RELEASED FOR BID INCLUDING AN ALTERNATE FOR PROTECTIVE <br />FLOOR COVERING IN THE APPARATUS BAY <br />Page 2 <br />
