MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 9, 1991 <br />Hanson agreed that the question was economics, however, <br />acknowledged the tremendous friendship the City has <br />enjoyed with Gene Johnson and the North Suburban Press. <br />Blesener pointed out the vast difference in price for <br />publication of minutes between the Cities of Vadnais <br />Heights and Little Canada. <br />Johnson stated that this difference is due to internal <br />neglect at the Press in monitoring the amount of <br />minutes, and the Press~s intention to correct this <br />problem. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-1-4 - APPOINTING THE LILLIE SUBURBAN <br />NEWSPAPER'S ROSEVILLE REVIEW AS THE CITY'S DESIGNATED <br />NEWSPAPER FOR 1991 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CHECKING Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />DEPOSITORY moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-1-5 - DESIGNATING THE FIRST BANK <br />NATIONAL ASSOCIATION-LITTLE CANADA AS THE CITY'S <br />CHECKING ACCOUNT DEPOSITORY FOR 1991 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Hanson, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />INVESTMENT Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />DEPOSITORY moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-1-6 - DESIGNATING THE FOLLOWING AS <br />THE CITY'S INVESTMENT DEPOSITORIES FOR 1991: <br />SHEARSON, LEHMAN, HUTTON <br />PRUDENTIAL-BACHE SECURITIES <br />PAINE-WEBBER <br />FIRST BANK NATIONAL ASSOCIATION <br />FRANKLIN CuSTODIAL FUNDS <br />LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES - 4M FUND <br />PIPER CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, MINNEAPOLIS <br />Page 5 <br />
