MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 25, 1991 <br />oUTDOOR The City Planner reported that at its last meeting the <br />SALE5/ Planning Commission recommended that the City retain <br />DISPLAYS the conditional use permit process for permanent <br />outdoor sales and displays, but add a administrative <br />permit for temporary outdoor sales. The Planning <br />Commission has suggested that businesses be allowed two <br />temporary, two-week permits each year. <br />Blesener asked about the permit which was approved <br />recently for the Union 76 grand opening. <br />The City Administrator replied that the Union 76 permit <br />was handled as a wagon vendors permit. <br />The City Planner reported that the temporary permit is <br />intended to cover one-time sidewalk sales, Christmas <br />tree sales, special events sales, etc. The City's <br />existing ordinance would have to be amended to allow <br />the temporary administrative permit. The City Planner <br />reported that his opinion was to retain the conditional <br />use permit required for permanent outdoor sales/display <br />activities, and not allow these activities as a <br />permitted use.
