MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 12, 1991 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 12th day of November, 1991 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 7:20 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Public Works Mr. Dave Harris <br />Rec. Director Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Fire Chief Mr. Frank Graczyk <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Dick Boss <br />Fire Dept. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />The City Administrator presented the pr oposed 1992 <br />Budget document to the Council. <br />The City Administrator began a detailed review of the <br />1992 Budget. Taxable Valuations, Tax Levies and Tax <br />Rates were reviewed and it was noted that a 5.69% <br />increase is proposed over 1990/1991 tax capacity rates <br />for the City, which results in a net levy increase of <br />3.56%. The Administrator noted these figures, as <br />detailed on pages 2 and 3, are based on estimates at <br />this point. It was also pointed out that the 1992 <br />Budget proposes a$1,119,460 General Fund tax levy, <br />which is the maximum that the City is allowed to levy. <br />The levy for bonded debt is proposed at $665,000, and <br />levies for bonded debt are outside levy limits. <br />The Administrator began a review of proposed 1992 <br />General Fund Revenue. He noted that revenues from <br />Licenses and Permits are down from what was anticipated <br />Page 1 <br />
