MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 12, 1992 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-8-259 - AUTHORIZING THE DISCUSSION OF <br />THE BOOSALIS MATTER AS WELL AS THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA VERSUS KLEIN MATTER AT THE CLOSED SESSION <br />FOLLOWING TONIGHT'S MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FIRE DEPT. The City Administrator reviewed the Fire Department's <br />CAPITAL request for purchase of a washer/extractor for the <br />IMPROVEMENT laundering of turn-out gear. It is not recommended <br />PURCHASES that this gear be cleaned at a commercial facility or <br /> at home due to the contaminants that could be spread. <br /> The Administrator reviewed the quotations obtained by <br /> the Fire Department, noting the recommendation of the <br /> Fire Department for the Warrington Pro-35. It is also <br /> estimated that $750.00 will be needed for installation <br /> of this equipment. The Administrator recommended that <br /> this purchase be funded from the Fire Department <br /> Building Fund. <br /> Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br /> moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-8-260 - AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND <br /> INSTALLATION OF A WARRINGTON PRO-35 WASHER/EXTRACTOR BY <br /> THE LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING THAT <br /> FUNDING FOR TAIS PURCHASE COME FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> BUILDING FUND <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that two of the Fire <br />Department's ladders have failed testing, therefore, <br />must be replaced. Replacement cost is $1,340, and the <br />Administrator recommended that funding come from the <br />10% Capital Improvement Fund. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-8-261 - APPROVING THE REPLACEMENT OF <br />TWO FIRE DEPARTMENT LADDERS AT A COST OF $1,340 WITH <br />FUNDING FOR THIS PURCHASE TO COME FROM THE 10% CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
