MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 10, 1993 <br />Scalze suggested that the Lake Street improvement could <br />be tabled until the assessment policy is updated. <br />Hanson agreed that the matter should be table until <br />after the assessment workshop. If at that time it <br />appears the improvement will not be ordered, the City <br />can consider a petition from the property owners. <br />Hanson asked if the Council should accept the petition <br />that has been presented. <br />The City Attorney suqqested that the Council accept the <br />petition as part of the record, and the Council did so. <br />The City Administrator indicated that he would verify <br />the accuracy of the petition. <br />Scalze suggested that the public hearing on the Lake <br />Street reconstruction improvement be tabled until <br />February 24th after the assessment workshop. <br />Nagle requested that rather than continuing the <br />hearing, that the Council act on the reconstruction <br />project. Nagle pointed out that the residents have <br />been before the Council at the last several meetings, <br />and would like to get the reconstruction issue resolved <br />at this time. Nagle pointed out the petition submitted <br />by 100% of the property owners involved opposing the <br />reconstruction project. <br />Pedersen pointed out that the Council would like to <br />have the assessment policy in place before voting on <br />the Lake Street reconstruction improvement. <br />Scalze felt that the City should either reconstruct <br />Lake Street as proposed, or allow for the overlaying of <br />the street as a maintenance matter.
