<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Fischer and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Laura Linehan, Acting City Administrator <br />Assistant City Administrator/CR Manager <br />Heidi Heller, City Clerk/HR Manager <br /> <br />DATE: March 12, 2025 <br /> <br />RE: Review of the City Administrator Recruitment Profile <br /> <br />ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Staff is requesting the City Council's consideration in reviewing the City Administrator <br />Recruitment Profile. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On February 12, 2025, the City Council approved a consulting services agreement with HueLife <br />for a City Administrator Executive Search. <br /> <br />As part of the recruitment process, Dr. Richard Fursman met with the leadership team members <br />and the city council members to discuss what both parties might like to see in a new City <br />Administrator. Additionally, a survey was provided to gauge technical skills and work-style <br />preferences for the new City Administrator position. <br /> <br />Insights were compiled, and a recruitment profile has been drafted for City Council approval. In <br />addition to the characteristics of the community and the overall position details, process details <br />such as how to apply for the position and key dates are included. <br /> <br />As a reminder, the proposed timeline for the recruitment is: <br />• Applications are due by April 11 at 4:30 PM <br />• Present confidential semi-finalist packet to council: May 7 <br />• Finalist Interviews: May 16/17 <br />• New Administrator Starts: June/July <br /> <br />BUDGET: <br />There is no budget impact at this time; however, additional discussions around an appropriate <br />wage scale will occur and will have potential budgetary impacts. Once finalized, the recruitment <br />profile will be updated with that information. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Council review the City Administrator Recruitment Profile. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Attachment A: Draft Recruitment Profile
