<br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2025-4-____ <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING LEGISLATION EXPANDING THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (“HRA”) TO INCLUDE ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (“EDA”) POWERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Little Canada is the official governing body of the City of <br />Little Canada; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada supports Ramsey County’s effort to expand the statutory <br />authority of the Ramsey County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) to include economic <br />development activities through the establishment of an Economic Development Authority (EDA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada supports proposed legislative change that would allow for <br />small business programming to be included as an eligible use of the existing HRA levy, without <br />creating a new taxing authority or increasing property taxes for Ramsey County residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada supports strengthening the small business ecosystem while <br />maintaining a commitment to affordable housing and redevelopment initiatives. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA, MINNESOTA, THAT; <br /> <br />1.
