Do you have any other comments regarding a communit y building in Little Canada?
Add a garden.
A room could have other possibilities...craft show .seniors gathering. Exercise .start thinking about programming
and the building will follow
Don't want it if is going to raise taxes.
Go big or stay home
I believe this would be a great community asset. There are very few spaces for free or rent avaiable for groups.
I don't think one is necessary. Both Maplewood and Shoreview could not financially sustain theirs, and ultimately
turned them over to the YMCA.
I think a community building is long overdue.
I think it will be very expensive to have an event there, interest rates are to high, building materials through the roof,
just not the right time. Maybe in the future. There's many more projects that need to be done like vegetation big
trees growing next to roads, retaining walls. Need to clean up make it inviting for people to come here to do
business. Parks are beautiful let's have our road ways cut and cleaned, fencing alongside highways and road. And
clean and thin out the small amount of forest we have left to make them healthier.
I think it would be great if there were flexibility in the room sizes. Perhaps with some type of good dividers or
something?
I think it's a great idea and would be a valuable opportunity
If it's large enough, it would be amazing to have an auditorium/stage for events.
Let's do this right and construct a community building that will make our community proud. Big enough to support
community events, and elegant enough to host a wedding. Don't let budgetary concerns ruin what has the potential
for a fantastic destination area in Little Canada.
Love that this investment in the community is being considered
No
Really don't think we need one.
Should be able to serve alcohol. Should have adequate off street parking. Should come with enough tables and
chairs to seat up to capacity. Cleaning and waste removal should be included in the rental cost.
The Anjpetu Teca center and the Shoreview Community Center are both less than 15 minutes away. This seems like
an unnecessary use of funds.
The only other thought would be to have plenty of parking nearby and to have plenty of tables and chairs that can
easily be moved, depending on the event.
This is an exciting possibility!
We don't need it
We would use it for our LCFD annual banquets!!!!
Who is going to pay for this? Only Little Canada residents? Taxes would be raised, again?
With a security deposit, consider making this free or heavily discounted for Little Canada residents.
Would be great to have a space that could accommodate small groups as well as larger. Have access to clean
bathrooms and full kitchen space. As well as near playground. But must be affordable.
Would this be profitable or a money suck? The Vadnais Heights facility is obviously very nice, but maybe we don't
need to keep up with the Joneses on this one. Private companies can offer facilities as well without it being a city
service.
Created By
Do you have any other comments regarding a communit y building in Little Canada?
Add a garden.
A room could have other possibilities...craft show .seniors gathering.
